Quickie Trip To Malacca on 31st March 2012

Image
This new bike of mine requires running in, its a slow process since I don't use it for my daily commute. This short trip to Malacca the historic city in Malaysia with the guys is an initial start. We started from USJ RnR waiting for every one to arrive and at about 9:30 am off toward Malacca taking the coastal route via Port Dickson.  These are some photos along the route.  We stop at Dima Arabic Restaurant in Bukit Beruang (Bear Hills) altho' no bear in sight except for the few in the restaurant itself.  Enjoying the meals.  Below one lady rider C.T Yang, thanks for all her assistance while we're in Malacca.  Below, towards the foot hill's of St Paul Church  Smack in front of Famosa.. :)  Having cendol stop in Malacca. That's about it.. more trip to come.

GPS on The Versys

Image
Garmin make great GPS and I have a spare unit that almost obsolete so its best to use it with motorbike. This is a very simple installation on my Kawasaki Versys. Bracket made by RAM and just attach the ball head adapter to bike handle bar and the rest is just a matter of attaching the clamp on arm and cradle.  Below GPS already attached to cradle.  View from top above.  Another angle.  RAM Cradle without GPS.

Versys 650 2012

Pick up my new bike today, the Versys 650 for the showroom and still getting use to its handling and height. Its a bit tall and may need few adjustment, easy to relearn and its been more than 3 years since I sold my Beemer and its about time for a new one. Currently I only replaced the windshield with that from Ermax and radiator cover from a local source. Evaluating various pannier to fit, either SW Motech Trax or the Hepco & Becker  series. Givi has pannier, but I don't like the fact that the bracket is difficult to remove if the pannier is not in use. Still getting use to this new ride.
